It's December and riding season is dead. Now is the time to make the bike bigger, badder, and faster than before. This month I decided to talk about the 5 most common or "best" bike upgrades.

The first upgrade is probably the most common Harley upgrade, the exhaust system. It is very rate to see a Harley with a stock exhaust system these days. As far as the best system, I can't tell you any one system to go with. The exhaust market is SO broad, and there are so many good systems. I always recommend that you go with a name brand, such as Vance and Hines, Python, or Supertrapp. There are many other good systems, just pick the one you like.

The second best upgrade is a high flow air box. The one that I recommend is the "Big Sucker"/ by Arlen Ness. I like to recommend this one, because it is simple to install and works the best. It works well because it increases the air flow as well as allowing the breather air to be blown into the intake. This will eliminate oil from running out of your air box like most other kits.

The third product is a HSR 42 carburetor from Mikuni. This is BY FAR the BEST carburetor on the market. Every one I have installed gives me a very happy customer. This is probably the best upgrade for any carbureted bike. It will give you better throttle response. Hang on!!

The fourth product is for fuel injected bikes only. This is the "Power Commander" by Dynojet. This product will allow you to adjust your fuel and timing on your fuel injected Harley. This product is a MUST if you plan to do any upgrades to your fuel injected Harley.

The fifth product I picked for Harleys is the "Dyna Ignition Module". This module is for carbureted bikes and will fit most bikes from 1989-2003, depending on part number. This product will deliver a stronger spark and allow you to adjust your spark advance curve and rev limit.
